Competitive Training, Sydney
Training for athletic performance requires hard work and dedication. Competitive training, Sydney, aims to bring a community of like-minded individuals together — working towards achieving those goals as a group.
In an open gym setting, not only will you have support from your training crew, but you’ll have access to expert coaching to guide you on your journey — making sure you’re progressing the right way.
What Is Competitive Training?
Competitive training is a higher level athlete training program for people wanting to unlock their athletic potential and take their training to the next level. Training for athletic performance isn’t only for professional or elite athletes, it’s also for people searching for a competitive training coach who can help them set goals and guide them towards achieving them.
Who Is Competitive Training For?
Athlete fitness is for individuals who aspire to become fitter, stronger, more athletic, improve in their chosen sport, and for those wishing to excel in the sport of fitness.
Whether you’re currently following one of our competitive training programs or are looking to improve on technical elements of your lifts; regular check-ins with your competitive training coach provide an uplifting environment to make sure you are progressing and staying on track.
Private sessions can be booked individually or in small groups by emailing info@dimistraining.com.
If you are on our 1 on 1 customised competitor plan, your first private session is 50% upon booking.
Do I Need to Compete to Follow An Athlete Training Program?
No. You will work closely with your coach to identify your goal and be put on a training program to help you get there. Elite athlete training programs are for people ready to work hard towards a specific training goal with the benefit of having your coach by your side — helping you stay accountable.

Why choose a competitive training coach
If you’re looking to compete in:
- The CrossFit Opens and Games.
- Weightlifting competitions.
- Powerlifting meets.
- A specific sport and improve overall athletic performance.
Working with a competitive training coach can help you identify your goal and competition you want to participate in. Once you’ve established what you’re training for, your coach will create an athlete training program to prepare you to compete at your highest potential.
Having a coach plan your journey takes the guesswork out of the process — so you can focus on training hard towards your goal.
Coaches Commitment to You
Coach Dimi is a former professional athlete, three-time CrossFit Regionals competitor in the Australia region and two-time Australian National Weightlifting Champion. She knows what it takes to train at the highest level and understands that when you’re training towards a high-level goal, lifestyle factors must be considered when programming the journey.
Having worked with professional athletes on their strength and conditioning, weightlifters and powerlifters on increasing 1RM strength, and developing athletes to qualify for CrossFit Games Quarterfinals and Semifinals — she is fully committed to you and creating an environment for you to achieve your goals.
“Our lifestyle outside of training shouldn’t be the reason we don’t achieve our goals. Everyone deserves a chance to see what their body is truly capable of.”

Competitive Training FAQs
What if I don't have access to a gym?
At times you may be required to complete your training program on your own. However, we have affiliations with various gyms in the Sydney region and can help you find a gym to suit your needs.
I don't know if my technique is right
If you’re unsure about your technique, book a free 15-minute consultation by emailing info@dimistraining.com, and we can discuss any concerns you have. Alternatively, you can organise a private session to help you work on those specific movements.
How often is training?
Weight lifting and powerlifting training are programmed for 3-5 days a week and cross training is set at 5-6 days per week. All disciplines have the option to train multiple times a day, with each session running between one hour to 90 minutes.
Sessions are broken up into days where you complete work in your own time and days when you are with your coach or other DP athletes. This will be determined after your initial consultation.
What if I can't do the cross training movements prescribed?
Athlete programs are customised to fit you and your abilities. We all have to start somewhere and before your cross fitness program is planned or you start training with other athletes, an interview will take place to discuss strengths and limitations you may have.
Whether you’re interested in strength training for sports, a fitness program for athletes or the ultimate workout — your fitness journey starts here. Get in touch today.
