Powerlifting Coach, Sydney
Performing weightlifting movements such as the snatch and clean and jerk are technical lifts that require focus and commitment. Following a weightlifting program will guide you towards achieving your goals. And, having a weightlifting coach who is committed to seeing you improve will take your lifts to the next level.
What Is Powerlifting, Sydney?
Powerlifting is the sport of lifting a maximum weight for one repetition. This test of strength is defined by three main powerlifting exercises — the back squat, bench press and deadlift.
Why Do You Need a Powerlifting Coach?
A Powerlifting coach can help:
- Put together a training plan for you and help you achieve peak condition for specific powerlifting competitions.
- Implement powerlifting exercises to enhance a program you’re already following.
- Develop strength for your chosen sport.
- Improve lift technique — so you’re more efficient in your movement.

Benefits of Powerlifting Training on Sports Performance
Powerlifting builds stronger athletes, which means you:
- Are more resilient and less susceptible to injury.
- Have better recoverability.
- Possess greater potential to become more explosive.
The longer an athlete is exposed to powerlifting derivatives in their training, the more potential they have at withstanding greater loads in their sport.
The benefits of having a powerlifting coach who understands how to carry out a training program alongside different disciplines and athletic seasons can help maximise overall athletic performance.

Coaches Commitment to You
Coach Dimi is a former professional athlete, three-time CrossFit Regionals competitor in the Australia region and two-time Australian National Weightlifting Champion. She knows what it takes to train at the highest level and understands that when you’re training towards a high-level goal, lifestyle factors must be considered when programming the journey.
Having worked with professional athletes on their strength and conditioning, weightlifters and powerlifters on increasing 1RM strength, and developing athletes to qualify for CrossFit Games Quarterfinals and Semifinals, she is fully committed to you and creating an environment for you to achieve your goals.
“Our lifestyle outside of training shouldn’t be the reason we don’t achieve our goals. Everyone deserves a chance to see what their body is truly capable of.”
Powerlifting FAQs
What if I don't have access to a gym?
At times you may be required to complete your powerlifting training program on your own. However, we have affiliations with various gyms in the Sydney region and can help you find a gym to suit your needs.
I don't know if my technique is right
If you’re unsure about your technique, book a free 15-minute consultation by emailing info@dimistraining.com, and we can discuss concerns you have. Alternatively, you can organise a private session to help you work on those specific movements.
How often is training?
Training is 3-5 days a week with options to train multiple times a day, with each session running between 1 hour to 90 minutes.
